Adoption & Permanency Family Supports
These services are available to all families across Canada, whether your family was built through private adoption, international adoption, or government adoption.
Looking for support? We’ve got you.
As adoptive parents ourselves, we know support cannot stop once a child joins your family. Our Adoptive Family Supports are here to help you build strong, connected relationships and navigate the unique joys and challenges of adoption.
In 2026, we’re expanding our support programs — and we’re starting with Early Bird Registration for our first Circle of Security Parenting™ (COSP) classes. We’ll be certified facilitators as of Dec 15, 2025, and we can’t wait to share this incredible connection-focused course with you.
We’re offering 50% off COSP classes for all adopting families (from any province or agency), as well as foster and kinship caregivers. *classes online via google meet*
Everyone is welcome. If you care for a child and want to strengthen connection, this course is for you. COSP is an attachment-based program that gives caregivers simple, practical tools to understand children’s emotional needs, reduce conflict, and build secure, lasting relationships.
Meet Your Facilitators
Lindsey Dudgeon, COSP Facilitator
Lindsey has long admired COSP from a clinical perspective. With her background supporting families and children, she has seen firsthand how powerful attachment-informed parenting can be. She is excited to help parents feel empowered, confident, and equipped to connect with their children on a deeper, more meaningful level.
Raelyn Callaway, COSP Facilitator
Raelyn first encountered Circle of Security Parenting™ in 2020, when she and her husband were welcoming their second adoptive placement—two siblings, ages 4 and 5, who had experienced significant trauma. The course profoundly changed their parenting, their understanding of behaviours, and the emotional safety they were able to create at home.
Raelyn often says that COSP transformed not only their relationship with their children, but their confidence as parents. Her passion now is to share this life-changing framework with other adoptive families so they, too, can experience deeper connection and healing.
The COSP program is an eight-week course, with one session each week. Each session provides simple, practical tools that caregivers can begin using right away—no extra reading or homework required.
Rather than focusing on behaviour management, COSP helps caregivers understand the deeper needs driving a child’s actions—needs for connection, comfort, reassurance, exploration, and safety. Throughout the program, caregivers learn to recognize what their child’s behaviour is really communicating and to strengthen emotional security through consistent, attuned responses. COSP also supports parents in fostering healthy confidence and independence, responding calmly during stressful or challenging moments, and bringing more joy, safety, and connection into everyday interactions.
