Thomas & Yvonne

We are Thomas and Yvonne. We have been together since 2012. Thomas works with the RCMP and Yvonne is mostly a stay-at-home mom, but also works outside of the home as a nurse. In October 2022, our son Matthew joined our family through open adoption, making us a family of three. We are so honoured to love and parent Matthew; he is a precious gift to our family. Matthew is almost 3 years old and we have learned a lot about love, parenting, and open adoption. We have visits with Matthew’s first family often. It is important to us that our children have access to their first family and their whole life story.

We are excited to grow our family through open adoption again. Matthew is ready to meet his baby brother or sister and so are we! Our home has plenty of room for more children and we think our neighborhood is a great place for children to grow up. We love going for bike rides and walks in our neighborhood. We have built great friendships with our neighbours and have a strong network of supportive friends and family within and outside of Edmonton.

As a family of three we have been on a lot of adventures, and we will continue to be adventurous as our family grows! We love spending time with extended family throughout Canada. We enjoy seeking adventure in the great outdoors through activities like camping, hiking, biking, and canoeing. On the daily we love to get outside to visit a park, go swimming, meet up with friends, or visit the library. We are so grateful for all the memories we are creating as a family, and we look forward to creating more memories as our family grows.

Our desire is for family, to create legacy that would go beyond us. Just like YOU, we want what is best for your child! We also desire the best for you! You and your child deserve to be heard and understood, protected and cherished. We desire to advocate for you and your child and walk this journey with you.
